Faux Shutter Card
This technique is also called a Fractured Card. I like the name "Faux Shutter" card because it reminds me of the shutter of a camera. In these samples, I fussy-cut images from the Zoo Crew DSP and added some self-adhesive stars (retired). When you search for this technique on the Internet, you'll find several different ways of doing it. I started with a 2-1/8" square of cardstock that was the same as my card front. Then I used liquid glue on 1/4" strips of black cardstock. For one of the cards, I carried the shutter theme to the inside of the card. It's not symmetrical but you could easily make it that way by framing a 3-1/2" square of white cardstock.
